California Infrastructure and Economic Development Bank (IBank)

The California Infrastructure and Economic Development Bank (IBank) is a state government agency housed within the Governor ‘s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz). IBank is a capital access bank that finances public infrastructure and private development. IBank is California state government’s only general-purpose financing authority. IBank issues both tax-exempt and taxable revenue bonds as 501(c)3 bonds, exempt facility bonds, and public agency revenue bonds.

In addition to bond financing, IBank offers infrastructure loans to municipalities, small business loan guarantees to increase capital access by reducing risk for lenders, and  a venture capital program designed to increase access to venture capital and expand the VC ecosystem.
